Reconstructive Urology dept. of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, located in Shohada-e-Tajrish Hospital, from 24 years ago, was the national reference of country for referring patients with Urethroplasty from all over the country, surrounding nations and European countries. Severe and complicated patients or patients who have previously experience failure in unsuccessful surgery have been referred to this department and Successful surgeries are performed on them according to the international standards.
Furthermore, during the past 11 years, the department has been developing the Reconstructive Urology fellowships among the Urologists Until now Urologists from the universities of Mashhad, Ahvaz, Tabriz and Shiraz have been graduated from this department with the degree of Fellowship.In addition, urologists from the cities of Isfahan and Mashhad have been trained in this department for a short period of time.
Urological Association of Asia has been established since 1990 and the countries China, Singapore, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Hong Kong, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Macau, Philippines, Vietnam, Australia, Turkey, UAE, Cambodia and Myanmar are members of the UAA.
The Iranian Urology Association (IUA) in collaboration with the Infertility and Reproductive Health Research Center ( IRHRC ) of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences is proud to held the 12th ASIAN UROLOGICAL CONGRESS in the beautiful island of Kish.
The presence of scientists , experts and distinguished surgeons from Europe , America and Asian countries made Iran the world's medical hub for 5 days.
In this congress , latest achievements of Iranian and other countrie's experts discussed , and the level of scientific debate of the congress surprised our overseas colleague that much that they always admit it on every occasion.
This huge conference held panels , discussions and live surgery , and with the participant from 40 countries , and also 435 articles , 68 internal keynote lecturer and 99 foreign lecturer ( 60 Asian , 28 European , 8 American and 3 Canadian ) it can held a congress in the dignity of the name of Islamic Republic of Iran , and it kept the name of Iran and Iranian in the minds of participants from Asia , Europe, America and Canada is alive.
We're honored to announce that by helding this congress , Iran became the president of the Urological Association of Asia (2014-2015).

The SBMU Infertility and Reproductive Health Research Center (IRHRC) was established in SBMU Taleghani Educational and Treatment Hospital in 2005 following lots of efforts ; and considering the missions of the research centers in findings the unknown scientific matters,
the SBMU IRHRC pursues to prepare grounds for conducting basic and clinical researches, even in cellular and genetic levels. Currently, there are numerous researches in various scientific fields, as well as in reproductive health, and our scientific activities have been nationally and internationally well-known. At SBMU IRHRC all diagnostic and treatment activities were performed for infertile couples from the beginning up to the time of micro-injection treatment, as well as performing diagnostic and treatment laparoscopy, and hysteroscopy untill Spring 2016.
